We have just acquired a special price on a small quantity of PRS Mira guitars - It is very doubtful that we will be able to repeat this deal again during the next 12 months, so it is a case of make hay whilst the sun shines

When the PRS Mira first appeared on the scene around 5 years ago, a dot inlay version sold for around £1099 and with bird inlays for around £1299 - Yet a few years later, taking into account an increase on the vat rate, inflation, production cost, around a 25% increase on the dollar/pound rate, we are now looking at a Mira costing around £1500 with dots and £1700 with birds - With that in mind, we have found that sales and interest on the Mira has fallen, but we are now exited about this new special price, but as I mentioned earlier, it is very unlikely we'll see this deal again

Remember this deal on the Mira is on new stock, hence the new V12 finish and Phase 111 locking tuners

Tone is provided by a pair of PRS Mira humbuckers that have been wound and voiced to enrich the guitars character - The control layout is about as simple as it gets, hence a master volume and tone pot, a 3 way 'blade' selector switch whilst the addition of a mini toggle switch lets you dabble with some single coil voices - Unplugged the Mira has a nice acoustic bell like ring about it, with good resonance - Plugged into an amp on the clean channel and it will deliver a warm and lush, yet open tone from the neck humbucker, with clear lows and bell like highs - Keep the amp on the same clean setting, now select the bridge pick-up for more bite and attack, with a very tight focused voice - Add some subtle gain levels on your amp or pedal and those great crunch rhythm tones or basic blues flavoured sounds are instantly apparent - The tight focused voice makes the Mira ideal for chord work, either rock/blues riffs, or indie/Brit Pop style strumming, so at all times the chords are clearly audible - Add some more hi-gain on your amp and the neck pick-up delivers fat warm lead tones with incredible sustain, or hit the bridge pick-up for more attack with excellent clarity which cuts through any mix - Remember the coil tap offers greater tonal options from either pick-up, with an almost Tele like country twang and bite from the bridge pick-up, whilst the neck pick-up does more than just a credible job delving into 50's rock 'n' roll or indeed the Beatles-esq 60's jingle jangle pop territory - The volume and tone controls work well over the whole 1-10 range - The volume control, does what is says and will reduce the volume without losing the tonal quality - This allows you to set up the amp with some overdrive, then control the level of gain you require from the guitar, so crunch to clean is possible, hence more expression, soul and emotion is available to you, directly from the guitar and how you play it For a USA hand built PRS this is a phenomenal deal
