Once again Gibson have re-launched the LP Classic, so I know it can get mighty confussing for you the customer, as well as it does for you - We need to know exactly which model we are offering for sale - Most of the current LP Classics now feature either a satin finish and/or the new 'baked maple' fingerboards - Whilst neither specs can be considered a no no, to the purest it ain't the real thing - Therefore we are glad to let you know that we are offering for sale a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Classic with a traditional nitro honey burst finish - Complete with the correct brown shaped Gibson case - Condition wise the guitar is very clean and certainly worth a strong 8 or 8.5 out of 10 - Any grazes or bruises are minor and only to the top surface of the lacquer, so no big issues at all - No fret issues either - Re-strung and set-up with a set of 10's and a sensible playing action

The LP Classic can be considered a LP Standard albeit with a couple of slight tweaks - You still get the same set of hardware, tuners, bridge and tailpiece, you still get the same mahogany body, but the LP Classic does have the slimmer 60's profile - Remember this is the original model with the 22 fret rosewood fingerboard - The other change concerns the pick-ups - The LP Classic has a more powerful set of Gibson humbuckers, so if you want/need to drive the amp a bit more, this guitar has that extra grunt and bite from the bridge pick-up - The neck pick-up still has a warm and smooth blues based texture about it, so you don't have to use it as a party animal all the time - As the 'Green' based culture starts to take over and requires manufactures to make changes to the materials that we utilise, then the original models, like this Classic, will acquire a more desirable tag - After all £1399 buys a new satin finished Gibbo LP Classic, or the new LP Classic Custom with a 'baked' maple fingerboard, or £1249 buys a used 'proper' LP Classic
