Custom spec'd and exclusive to Guitars4You is this very small run of Fender Custom Shop Strat Plus models - From when they were first released in the late 80's, I have always had a soft spot for the Fender Strat Plus models - Over the years, if and when we acquire any used models, I never have a problem selling them - Now that Fender allow dealers to custom spec various Custom Shop models, then I thought why not - So months after placing our order with the Fender UK Custom Shop product specialists, they are now in stock

Whilst we have spec'd the guitar as a Strat Plus it is not necessarily down to the exact DNA replica details as we have taken a certain poetic licence to adapt and improve a few features, but the overall vibe is Strat Plus - For instance an original model had the 'swimming pool' pick-up routing on the body, ours is conventional and vintage spec'd - We have also chosen a thin nitro finish for the body, which will enhance the tone as well as giving the guitar plenty of character, so no poly based finish here - We chose the 'aged natural' finish because we knew it would look so desirable - Note that 'aged natural' does not refer to it having an aged or relic finish, as this is a NOS shinny gloss finish - Therefore 'aged natural' refers to it having a nice 'aged' tint within the finish - Sometimes natural finished guitars look like they need a suntan, or have just come out of an Ikea store, as they are to pure, but this finish looks very classy

The neck is spec'd with a modern C profile, a 12" fingerboard radius and 22 medium jumbo frets - The neck has a thin satin finish, so with the 'rolled' fingerboard edges, it has all the nice elements of a 'played in' guitar - Set-up with a nice fluid playing action, plus no choking out when you rip into those blues bends - Strung up with a set of 10's, it still has an easy slinky vibe about it - As per the original Strat Plus and indeed the Jeff Beck Strat the guitar is fitted with a set of locking tuners, the LSR roller nut and the modern fulcrum trem - All in all this will give you trouble free tuning - Anyone who has seen Jeff Beck use this trem can vouch for it - It also has a smooth and positive feel about it

We spec'd the guitar with a set of the original Gold Lace Sensor pick-ups, 5 way switch, master volume control, neck tone and the TBX on the middle/bridge pick-up - The bolt-on maple neck, inconjunction with an ash body will always ensure this Strat has a lively vibe about it with plenty of snap and attack - The Lace Sensor pic-ups will compliment this with a rich, full and softer voicing - It still has the clear sparkling crisp highs, but more rounded and this is supported with clear full lows and certainly no moody/mushy mids - I think as an overview it has a strong hint towards the Dave Gilmour tone - Very smooth - Shipped with the deluxe Fender black Custom Shop case, a load of goodies and certificate
